Nicolas Nord, Secretary General of the ICCS, gave a lecture "The ICCS Activities and Good Practices in the field of International Child Protection" in the framework of the Executive Training on Civil Aspects of International Child Protection (ICPT). Thanks to the Children’s Rights Academy of the University of Geneva and the audience for this opportunity and the warm atmosphere.

Third meeting of the working group, at which substantial progress was made. The new Convention No. 35 should be concluded at the next meeting. We would like to thank Armenia, the ANF (Association du Notariat Francophone), Austria, Belgium, Benin, The Hague Conference, the Council of Europe, the ELI (European Law Institute), Spain, the EVS (European Civil Status Officers), Kosovo, Luxembourg, Moldavia, the Netherlands, Portugal, the Holy See, Serbia, Switzerland and Turkey for their presence and participation

Event organized by the National Association of Registrars of Natural Persons (ARPEN - Brasil) in partnership with the Center for Notarial and Registry Studies (CENor) and the Institute of Registers and Notaries (IRN). Nicolas Nord's presentation is entitled "Changes and modifications to the civil status of natural persons in a post-modern, globalized world".

7^th AEPDIRI Conference on current issues pertaning to international private law: "Private law focused on the rights of individuals" at the Law Faculty of the Universidad Pontificia Comillas.

Mr. Ibrahim Taşyapan, Director General of Population and Citizenship takes office as President of the International Commission on Civil Status following his September 2023 election.

Workshop meeting at the ICCS headquarters on the modernization of Convention 20 and on the preparation of Convention 35.
